Disney Cruise Line released its fall 2027 through spring 2028 schedule on August 25, 2026, and if you pulled it up and immediately felt overwhelmed, you're not alone.
I've looked at all the details and even looked at past cruises to really figure out what actually matters. Here are the highlights.
Quick answers
- When can you book the new Disney Cruise Line itineraries? 8:00 AM Eastern on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 for the general public. Castaway Club members start earlier, on Monday, August 31, 2026.
- Is Disney sailing to Bermuda again? Yes. Disney Wish and Disney Fantasy both sail to King's Wharf, Bermuda. Disney last sailed to Bermuda in fall 2023.
- Is Disney sailing from New York again? Yes. Seven Disney Wish sailings from New York City between September 29 and November 5, 2027, the first since 2023.
- What ports are new for Disney Cruise Line? Fuerte Amador and Colon in Panama, plus Langkawi, Malaysia on Disney Adventure. Everything else is a return.
- Did prices go up? Barely. The median change across comparable itineraries was down about 1%, but holiday sailings rose about 12%.
- Should you book on opening day? Yes if you need connecting or accessible staterooms or a specific week. Maybe not if you are flexible.
Is Disney Cruise Line sailing to Bermuda again?
Yes. Two ships sail to Bermuda in the fall 2027 through spring 2028 season, and Disney has not offered Bermuda in several years. Disney Cruise Line's first Bermuda season was 2018, when the Disney Magic ran Halloween on the High Seas cruises from New York. Its most recent Bermuda sailings were in fall 2023, aboard the Disney Dream out of the Manhattan Cruise Terminal.
Disney Wish sails to King's Wharf, Bermuda from New York City starting September 29, 2027.
Disney Fantasy sails an 8-night Bermuda cruise from Fort Lauderdale departing March 18, 2028, with two days docked at King's Wharf, plus stops at Disney Lookout Cay and Disney Castaway Cay. Two days in a single port is unusual for Disney Cruise Line and means you can actually see Bermuda instead of racing through it.
Is Disney Cruise Line sailing from New York City again?
Yes. Disney Cruise Line returns to New York City in October 2027 for the first time since 2023, with seven Disney Wish sailings across six itineraries. Two of the sailings share the same 5-night Bermuda itinerary, departing October 14 and October 19, 2027.
Disney Wish spends September 2027 sailing from Southampton, England, crosses the Atlantic by way of Reykjavik, Iceland, operates from New York City for roughly five weeks, then repositions to Port Canaveral for the winter.
New York itineraries run 4 to 7 nights and visit Bermuda, Halifax, Saint John, Charlottetown, Sydney and Boston. For families in the Northeast, these October dates line up well with fall break and skip the flights to Florida entirely. Only seven sailings exist, and then the New York season ends.
Do the Disney Panama Canal cruises stop in Panama?
Yes, and this is the detail most people miss. Disney Magic sails two Panama Canal transits in this release, and both include a port stop in Panama itself, at two different ports.
- Eastbound: departs San Diego November 4, 2027, ends in Galveston, stops at Fuerte Amador, the port for Panama City
- Westbound: departs Galveston March 26, 2028, ends in San Diego, stops at Colon
Most Panama Canal cruises only transit the locks. You watch the engineering go by from your verandah and then it is another sea day. These two Disney Magic sailings let you get off the ship in Panama. Both also call at Cartagena, Colombia.
Which Disney ships are swapping home ports?
Disney Dream and Disney Destiny swap Florida home ports in December 2027. Disney Dream moves from Port Canaveral to Fort Lauderdale. Disney Destiny moves from Fort Lauderdale to Port Canaveral. If you have a preferred ship and a preferred drive or flight, check the sail date before assuming anything.
Does Disney Destiny cost more after the move to Port Canaveral? No. Disney Destiny's 5-night Bahamian cruise runs $3,387 from Fort Lauderdale and $3,371 from Port Canaveral, effectively identical. The 4-night appears more expensive from Port Canaveral, but those dates fall during spring break. Comparing January and February sailings to the fall sailings puts the difference within 1%.
What ports are new for Disney Cruise Line in 2027-2028?
Two ports are genuine firsts for Disney Cruise Line: Fuerte Amador and Colon, both in Panama. Both appear on the Disney Magic Panama Canal transits. Disney Cruise Line describes Colon as its first guest sailing to that port, per The Disney Cruise Line Blog.
A third is new fleet-wide: Langkawi, Malaysia joins select Disney Adventure sailings from Singapore.
Which destinations are returning, and when were they last sailed?
Most of what looks new in this release is actually a comeback, and they all trace back to the same thing. Disney Cruise Line ran a New York program that served Bermuda and the Canadian Atlantic coast, and that whole program ended after fall 2023. It returns in fall 2027 after a four-year gap.
| Destination | Last Disney sailing | Gap |
|---|---|---|
| New York City | Fall 2023 | 4 years |
| Bermuda (King's Wharf) | Fall 2023, on the Disney Dream from Manhattan | 4 years |
| Canada and New England (Halifax, Saint John, Boston) | Fall 2023 | Nearly 4 years |
Charlottetown and Sydney, both in the Canadian Maritimes, come back as part of that same New York program. Southern Caribbean ports such as Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, Barbados and Dominica are established Disney destinations and continue in this release rather than returning from a hiatus.
Should you book a Disney cruise on opening day?
Opening day is not automatically the lowest price, and Disney Treasure is the clearest example. Disney Treasure's Very Merrytime sailings for November and December 2026 are discounted right now, while the equivalent 2027 holiday cruises opened at higher prices. Same ship, same 7-night itineraries, inside stateroom, two guests, taxes and fees included:
| Disney Treasure 7-night sailing | On sale now (2026) | Opening day (2027) |
|---|---|---|
| Mid-November Western Caribbean | $3,650 | $4,785 |
| Thanksgiving Eastern Caribbean | $5,039 | $6,755 |
| Early December Eastern Caribbean | $3,835 | $5,046 |
| Christmas week | $6,198 | $8,016 |
Those 2026 Disney Treasure sailings are running 23% to 29% below their original opening day prices. Christmas week is down $2,506 for two people. Every 2027 equivalent costs roughly 31% more than you can book the 2026 version for today.
So should you wait to book? For many families, no.
The real risk of waiting is not price, it is availability of the room you need. Connecting staterooms, accessible staterooms, specific categories and specific decks sell out first. Ships carry a limited number of connecting cabins, and accessible staterooms are genuinely scarce. If you need a particular week because of school breaks, that narrows things further. No discount helps if the room your family requires is already gone.
Booking on opening day buys choice. Waiting may buy a discount, or may buy nothing. Waiting makes the most sense if you are flexible on dates, flexible on stateroom category, and looking at a time of year that does not historically sell out.
Did Disney cruise prices go up for 2027-2028?
Barely, with one big exception. Across comparable itineraries the median change was down about 1% compared to the previous release, measured on inside staterooms for two guests including taxes and fees. My baseline for last year's opening day prices is Scott Sanders' compilation at The Disney Cruise Line Blog.
Holiday sailings are the exception. Thanksgiving and Christmas cruises rose about 12%, and some Fort Lauderdale and Galveston sailings jumped 20% to 40%.
Disney Dream got cheaper, down about 8% on its 3-night and 4-night Bahamian sailings from Fort Lauderdale, on identical routes from the same home port.
Disney Wonder got more expensive, up about 18% per night across its schedule. If you were planning a Baja cruise from San Diego, this release is worse for you than the last one.
Short Disney cruises cost the most per night. The 14-night Panama Canal transit works out to $187 per person per night. A 3-night Baja cruise is $308 per person per night.
Season matters more than which release you book. The same Disney Treasure 7-night Western Caribbean itinerary costs $4,195 departing September 2027 and $5,723 departing April 2028. Identical ship, identical ports, about $1,500 apart.
When can you book Disney Cruise Line's 2027-2028 sailings?
Booking opens by Castaway Club level. All times are 8:00 AM US Eastern.
| Castaway Club level | Booking date |
|---|---|
| Pearl | Monday, August 31, 2026 |
| Platinum | Tuesday, September 1, 2026 |
| Gold | Wednesday, September 2, 2026 |
| Silver | Thursday, September 3, 2026 |
| DVC Members and Adventure Insiders | Thursday, September 3, 2026 |
| General public | Tuesday, September 8, 2026 |
Link your MyDisney account to your Castaway Club number before your booking day. Sorting that out at 8:00 AM is not how you want to spend your morning. Disney Vacation Club members book by phone with Member Services rather than online.
What should you do next?
Know your booking day. Decide in advance whether you are chasing a specific ship, a specific week, or a specific price, because you probably cannot have all three. If you need connecting or accessible staterooms, book early. That is not worth gambling on.

How I put this together: I compiled every sailing in the fall 2027 through spring 2028 release into a spreadsheet, compared it against Disney's current schedule, and compared opening day prices against the previous release. All prices quoted are for an inside stateroom, two guests, including taxes, fees and port expenses, captured on August 25, 2026. Prices and availability change.

Which Disney ships are changing home ports in 2027?
Disney Dream and Disney Destiny swap Florida home ports in December 2027. Disney Dream moves from Port Canaveral to Fort Lauderdale, and Disney Destiny moves from Fort Lauderdale to Port Canaveral. Book on opening day if you need connecting or accessible rooms or a specific week such as a school break.
What is the cheapest Disney cruise per night in the 2027-2028 release?
